Hey Rhymetorrents people... Just thought I'd start releasing the giant-sized Scrub Club announcements here as well since it's starting to include a lot of you more often, haha. So here we go -
NEWS UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH 2008
BEHEMOTH-SIZED UPDATE ON EVERYTHING!
Hey everyone, welcome back to yet another one of those super-mutant-sized updates from the Scrub Club camp! There's so much info in this news that your head -may- explode, so before you begin, please put on your cute little padded helmet.
Okay, first things first, if you haven't downloaded the highly anticipated Sinister Six album, go do that now! It's free, it's fresh, it's devastating. Thank you everyone who has checked it out and sent awesome props and compliments. We're very glad that you're enjoying the project.
And if you dig what you hear, you have to come to the release listening party this Saturday at ZoomDweebie's! That's right, three of the Sin Six brethren will be in attendance - Chester, MC_Loki, and myself... and we will guide you through the new album with a listening party, some spoken word, a small performance, and an open mic to end the night off right! And check this out - the event is both all ages to enter as well as free! Not only that, but if you do decide to spend $10, you can have access to all the tea products (cold, hot, coffee-type, soda, etc) in an all-you-can-drink teagasm all night! There's plenty of good eats and drinks at Zoom's, and we're honored that they would have us. Come at about 6:45 pm so you don't miss anything! Here's the crazy-ass flyer that Shelshocker worked up: (click the image
or here to go to the event's page!)

If you don't dig MySpace, you can always view the information on
Eventful here or
right here on Facebook as well. Invite your friends!
Props as well to HexWarrior, who drew the nifty pic of me you see here for my birthday a ways back!
We hope to see you there and meet you in person! Also to be in attendance is a bigass surprise... Mostly because you don't know about him yet... but Scrub Club has a new artist! His name is Deafintion and he hails from Iowa, not an hour and a half away from our homie Loki, it turns out. Deafinition is an incredible spoken word poet, emcee, backyard wrestler, guitar and piano player, cook - wait, I'll stop there, let's just say this bastard is very talented, haha. We are proud to finally announce his arrival to Scrub Club Records:

Stop by his MySpace (click the picture above
or click here, you lazy punk) and send him some love and greets! He will be working on some audio projects very, very soon. Get ready for that!
Now, of course... with our brothers coming into town this weekend, we're gonna have to try and grab a photoshoot. So expect some fresh new pictures of the Scrub Club boys soon. Argh, if we could only fly Benjamin Bear out for the shoot! Maybe we should sell the private jet... ha!
Speaking of brothers, it's time for another new Scrub Club member to be featured! It's Pistol Pete, the craziest, nerdiest, dopest promotions man we've ever had! He's the head of promo here at the Club, which is the least we could do in exchange for everything he's done for us on a daily basis basically the entire last year or so:

Click on his pic or
this link to check out his MySpace to send him love as well! He deserves all the gold in the Mushroom Kingdom sewers. If you ever have any questions, requests, or need to know any general info, Pete is your man. He's like the Scrubby Scribe of the Scrubsonian. Or... something. He's fresh from the concert tracks of MC Frontalot, YTCracker, MC Lars, and the Former Fat Boys. He went to their show, hung out with the boys and passed out Sin Six cds with YT and became a dinosaurus on stage! He'll hit you up with a review in a few days. For goodies sake though, here's an amusing picture of Pete in his rare dino-form when there's a full green moon out (+20 STR, -2 AGI):

Have you heard about Midwest Nerdfest yet? It's our bigass all-dork convention going down right here in Wichita, Kansas March 20th-22nd in 2009. That's a little over 5 months away at this point, so if you need to save up for your very reasonably priced ticket (!), you have time! Not close to Wichita, but still want to come? There's a section on
the official Midwest Nerdfest site that you can use to hook up with other conventiongoers to get a ride and possibly share hotel rooms with! Click that link to check out the site now! More information is being added all the time! Prepare for an entire weekend full of new friends, live entertainment, gaming, and all sorts of cool shit.
And while we're on the subject of Nerdfest, I present you with an opportunity to help us get the best in Nerdcore entertainment at the convention! Our homies over at Rhyme Torrents (
click here to visit their site!) have decided to become an official sponsor for the event. They have their eyes set on a very big name in the genre and will love to get that person to the Fest... but they need your help! Rhyme Torrents has started a collection from their forum members wanting to pitch in and help out, and they've already started raising a good amount of money! If they end up getting a lot of donations, they may even be able to sponsor multiple special guests or events!

Here's where you come in. If you have some spare change to help out the entertainment budget for the convention, click the PayPal button below to donate to the Rhyme Torrents sponsorship fund! Besides some everlovin' geek Karma, there's also a special offer for you to get some primo advertising! Donate at least $25 by December 20th and you will receive a picture, small bio, and url for your company or project in a special section of the official Midwest Nerdfest guidebook to be given to everyone at the event, as well as the same promotion on the Nerdfest site. Even if you don't give $25, you will still get a mention on the Rhyme Torrents page of the convention guide. So yes, if you have some spare bucks, go ahead and help out if you wanna! The button is below. If you end up donating the $25, make sure to email me with the proof so I can get you on the advertising list!
Here's an announcement that none of y'all saw coming - a brand new album! Not just a regular music release, either... this one's very unique. It's called A.D.D. ... What does that stand for? You'll have to find out. But the sound of it gives away the general idea. This disc will have 100 tracks, each only 30 exact seconds! You will get to sample an assload of new musicians when you pop in A.D.D., and beyond that, it will also be simultaneously released with a website with a picture and link to each artist! And you can grab all of their projects from the same location! It's the ultimate transfer of art, and it will change the Hip Hop world forever. You will find traditional Hip Hop artists, Nerdcore emcees, chiptune musicians, podcasters, and more on this epic, fast-paced exhibition that could only be brought to you by us here at Scrub Club Records!
Confirmed artists at this point? This is just the beginning announcement and we've already had the go-ahead from these insane musicians: Entity, Thugmasta J, MC Topher, Quartz Relic, MisterB, Desmond Fox, Schaffer The Darklord, Killa Ghozt, T.Y.T., Kabuto The Python, Funky49, Antisoc, Conyeezy, Nygel, Raslin, Don Vito, D-Form, MC Wreckshin, G4meboy, Legendary Wizard, Starf, Super Dragon X, Whoremoans, Ham-Star, Masurao, Shinigami, Shinobi, MC Gigahertz, MC Coolwhip, Inadequizzy, The Ranger, Ep!c-1, Maja, Illgill, Krondor Krew, Shadow Puppets, Magitek, Vagina Deep In Podcast, Letters vs. Numbers, DPS, Category, Hex Warrior, 8 Bit Betty, Chester, MadHatter, Deafinition, MC_Loki, DJ Elektro, MCRT, and Mike Game. That's 50 tracks already accounted for! And that's not to mention the people that still haven't replied to the invitation. There will be solo tracks, group tracks, and so many hardcore verses and music that your cute little padded helmet might just get blown off your big ol' melonhead. I also have noticed several beatsmiths have been sought out to make their 30-second masterpieces... but don't forget that chiptuners and cg rockers out there are invited as well! Interested in participating? Gimme a shout! I'm mixing and mastering the whole project myself so that newcomers and veterans alike will sound solid gold.
Other album news... I will be helping our individual artists release their own solo stuff, and in the meantime I will be working piece by piece on my next solo album "The John Henry Project." Pelicaine has signed on to be executive producer, and you will be amazed when you hear this cat's talent. He's one of the hottest underground beatsmiths on the planet right now, and he is setting forth to create not just an album of astounding music, but will be making it an EXPERIENCE. Tracks will flow with eachother and tell a grand story... all with instrumentals made from instruments that existed only before 1897. Prepare for the most original Hip Hop album you've ever heard. Real talk.
In the works is Scrub Club's "Noncents Volume 3," with rare online-released audio as well as new hits you haven't even heard yet! Our spoken word disc "Fast Food For Thought" is also still on hold, awaiting new material from our mind blowing new artist Deafinition and a few others.
Is anyone out there loving Fallout 3 as much as me? I've re-created Roland from Stephen King's Dark Tower series. His small guns, science, lock picking, and repair skills are all at 100. I'm currently THIRTY NINE hours into the game. In other words, this game is the best Fallout game and one of the best games I've ever played PERIOD... and in other words, I'm also babbling!
God damn... back to the update! *shakes head quickly* sorry about that! Haha.
Games... games... *drool* -ahem- Another sponsor at Midwest Nerdfest, ICT Gaming, deserves some props in this update. They will be running the game room and likewise contests at the convention, and I thought i'd take a bit of time to announce their next event:

So make sure and get your ass there for some awesome prizes and quality entertainment brought to you by this brand-new promoter in the Wichita area. Also, you can visit
their official site here or
their MySpace here. One day, I just might have Jeremy's babies. But that's beside the point.

And one last musical announcement - Benjamin Bear released a crazy song dedicated to the horrible NES game take on the Fist Of The North Star.
