Odd Entities brings forth 6 new and 3 previously released (but now updated) tracks. MagiTek maintains its roots, but develops and fuses new styles into the mix. This transition came from more of a hip hop influence, as well as performing live and becoming a 4 person group. This EP contains a variety of sounds, from what one could call "breakbeat industrial", to "crunky", to something just....strange. Overall, we feel it's a nice step forward, with much more to come.

Project Background: Tons of tracks were submitted, but only the best of the best made the cut. Sometimes some of the tracks turned in showed potential but weren't quite there yet, so the MotI and NRS crews stepped up to give them advice on what needed to be done to put their tracks over the edge.

This was originally conceived as being two separate compilations, one being more Nerdcore skewed, the other more Hip-Hop to reflect both sides of Rt.org's Nerdcore Hip-Hop identity. Ultimately it was agreed by both groups to pool resources and submissions to ensure that the single comp released packed every single ounce of uberness submitted. You can read more about what went into the development of this project in the official threads here and here.

Also, last not but least... a huge extra special thank you must go out to the members who volunteered their time and skills to shape and put together this compilation by collecting and reviewing tracks, creating the quality guidelines, and helping the artists who submitted music (and ultimately made it on the comp) up their game, all the while maintaining a very professional and positive atmosphere...
