Hey everyone! Here's this week's update:

Last weekend, ZeaLouS1 performed twice over the weekend in Los Angeles, CA, closing out his summer tour schedule with a double barrel shotgun bang! HIs first date was his second appearance at IllGill's Warp Zone, where he performed a solid set in front of a tightly packed room full of Hollywood's young and trendy.
All we can say is if you have a chance in the future to drop into the Warp Zone and party with IllGill, we highly recommend you do so, most definitely.

ZeaLouS1's final summer date was a quick stop in downtown LA on the way home to San Diego at the Tribal Cafe, a hip little spot that's part coffee house, part live venue.
After downing a couple of fruit smoothies for courage, Z1 got up and represented his brand of Nerdcore hip-hop incredibly well, getting everybody going, ages 5-55 We have a couple of videos of that performance in the BOSSFIGHT Records YouTube Channel, and here's one of those, a great silhouette version of "Evermore:"



With ZeaLouS1 back in the studio for the winter, readying his new album for a drop in 2009, there's going to be a lot of downtime in the news department. Thankfully, the Takeover, hosted by none other than Z1 himself, will make it's official return this Sunday night for a brand new season! If you've never heard of the Takeover before, it's a live weekly radio/Internet broadcast hosted by ZeaLouS1 featuring in-depth discussions regarding zombies, teen celebrities and all of the latest Nerdcore hip-hop rumors, interviews with actors, comedians, and musicians, and of course plays of all the latest and greatest hip-hop, rock, pop and alternative music.
The Takeover is a great way to get to know ZeaLouS1 better and find out what's going on in his world and mind every week, and with the chat room at 247Takeover.com, you can converse with him directly and even participate in the show! We have an apology to make to a few of you For the past month, a technical error has prevented some of you from ordering ZeaLouS1's latest album, "The Living Epitaph." We really apologize for this, we had no idea until a dedicated fan brought it to our attention. We're happy to say that orders are once again shipping, and if you ordered your copy of the album this week, it is now officially in the mail. To make up for the mixup, we're bringing back the special we had last Christmas by giving everyone that orders the new album a second copy to give to a friend.

SEGA GENESIS/MEGADRIVE TRIBUTE!!!

OK Everyone, time for our next compilation! What we are looking for are any and all songs about the Sega Genesis (or Megadrive, if you will)

Criteria:
192KBPS or better quality track

I need your email address, and myspace URL if you have one

Remix/Cover of songs from Sega Genesis games - Please let me know the game and original song name so we don't have ten covers of the first level of sonic or something

Songs with Lyrics - The instrumentation can be a game song remix or original tune, as long as you are singing/rapping about the genesis or a game found on the sega genesis!

Songs are needed by October 1st! And the songs should be well and cleanly recorded, and be awesome!

If you are doing a sonic cover, pick something obscure, all the most recognizable ones are taken! Also, I want an SNES diss song somewhere on this compilation!

I sometimes feel as though I stand alone – much like the cheese – with regard to my musical passions.

You see, I like it when, for lack of better phrasing, shit gets mixed up. I enjoy it when my hip-hop incorporates jazz breaks or my geeky rock borders on ska. I like sonic experimentation. It might not always work, but I admire those willing to take the chance.

nYgel is on a similar page. So much so that he's just released his second mixtape Free To Good Home, an album firmly rooted in the concept of combining fresh, new nerdcore with eclectic, sample-based beats from the most unlikely of sources.
